Recent headlines have renewed attention to maternal mental health and serious conditions like postpartum psychosis.

Postpartum psychosis is a medical emergency that requires immediate treatment. It affects approximately 1 to 2 out of every 1,000 deliveries. Awareness can help people recognize symptoms sooner and connect families with lifesaving support.

If this topic feels heavy, take a moment to check in with yourself and your loved ones.

Help is available. Recovery is possible. 🤍

✨Highlighting a new blog post we’re excited about! ✨

Guest writer Micah G. Shapiro, LCSW, PMH-C, explores the often overlooked emotional and psychological impact of NICU experiences on fathers and non-birthing partners.

This piece sheds light on how birth trauma, medical complexity, and extended NICU stays can affect dads too- often showing up as anxiety, hypervigilance, emotional shutdown, or disconnection. It also emphasizes the importance of reducing isolation and creating space for support, normalization, and mental health care for new fathers.
