UCP was incorporated in 1957, for parents of children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities who could not find assistance. United Cerebral Palsy is one the largest and comprehensive non-profit agencies in the state of Arkansas. The current array of services has grown in scope from daycare and parent relief for five children to a comprehensive network of habilitation/rehabilitation se

Person-centered support begins with listening.

It means recognizing that every individual has unique strengths, preferences, needs, goals and ways of communicating.

Rather than expecting everyone to follow the same path, person-centered services are built around what matters to each individual.

At Achieve Community Alliance, we believe people with disabilities should have a meaningful voice in the decisions that shape their lives. 💙

As August comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the moments that made this summer meaningful.

Maybe you learned something new, spent time with family, enjoyed a community event, completed a project or simply found a few moments of joy.

What is one summer memory you want to keep? 💙

There is more to an Achieve Creations item than the finished product.

Behind the scenes, participants may practice:
✨ Selecting materials
✨ Following steps
✨ Working with others
✨ Checking quality
✨ Packaging products
✨ Completing a project

These hands-on experiences help build confidence and job-readiness skills while allowing each person’s creativity to shine.

Which part of the creative process do you enjoy most—planning, making or seeing the finished result?

Being part of the community creates opportunities to learn, connect and belong.

Community experiences can help individuals practice social skills, make choices, build confidence and enjoy time with friends. These experiences may include visiting parks, libraries, restaurants, stores, attractions or local events.

Through Achieve programs—including statewide Achieve Opportunity CES Waiver services—individuals are supported in participating more fully in the communities they call home.

Your gift can help make meaningful experiences possible. 💙

It’s National Dog Day! 🐾

Dogs can bring companionship, comfort, laughter and plenty of personality into our lives.

Today, we want to see the four-legged members of the Achieve community!

Share a photo of your dog in the comments and tell us their name. Bonus points for silly faces, unusual sleeping positions or especially impressive ears. 😂

Not every victory comes with a trophy.

Sometimes a win is trying something new, communicating a choice, completing a task, making a friend, attending a community activity or asking for help.

At Achieve, we believe every step forward deserves to be celebrated. 🎉

What is one win—big or small—that you are celebrating this week?

Dignity is found in the details.

For many individuals served by Achieve, daily support includes personal care supplies such as gloves, wipes, disposable undergarments and other essential hygiene items.

These supplies help people remain healthy, comfortable, safe and ready to participate in their day.

Your gift helps meet essential needs that are easy to overlook but impossible to go without. 💙
