This weekend, something small turns into something bigger.

For two days only, Kendra Scott is giving 20% of every purchase back to Miracle League of Arkansas. A pair of earrings, a Mother's Day gift you meant to grab, a treat for yourself, all of it helps build the fields, the volunteers, and the community that make it possible for every kid and adult who wants to play baseball to play.

At Miracle League, the field is where it starts. Confidence takes root at the plate. Friendships form in the dugout. Players grow up, and they keep growing, carrying what they found on the field into lives their families once thought were out of reach.

Saturday, May 16 (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.) and Sunday, May 17 (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

When Spencer was ten years old, he heard something on the radio that changed his life.

A baseball league was coming to Little Rock. For kids with special needs. Spencer, who had already survived a brain stem tumor and years of hospitalizations, looked up and said, "I could play that baseball."
He showed up. And what happened next is something his mom, Marilyn, still talks about.

"It was the very first place that opened up things he thought he would never be able to do," she says. "It gave him the confidence to try other things."

Spencer is thirty now. Double master's degree. Runs a university sports program. Climbed mountains in Scotland. Built friendships across the world.

The confidence that made all of it possible started on a baseball field that this community chose to build and sustain. Your support is what keeps that field open for the next child who needs it.

This is Story 1 in our 20th anniversary series. Read the full story: https://miracleleaguear.com/2026/04/28/something-to-look-forward/

The Heights smelled like a backyard cookout on Saturday, and we are still thinking about it.

The judging was a blind taste test, and the burger that took home first place and the Golden Ticket to the World Food Championships was The Nostalgia Burger from Smacked N Stacked. Runner-up went to Acme Brick - Tony Jenkins with Dat O.G. Bacon Burger, a burger that had the line wrapped around the block.

The crowd had its say, too. People's Choice went to Empower with the Patty La Melt, and runner-up People's Choice went to Jess James with the Orchard Outlaw. Congratulations to all four of you. You brought it.

None of this is possible without the partners who showed up to make it happen.

A massive thank you to Ben E. Keith and Creekstone Farms. Every burger flipped on Kavanaugh started with the beef and the supplies you put in our restaurants' hands. You made the competition possible from the ground up.

And a huge thank you to the rest of our 2026 sponsor lineup: First Community Bank, Windsor Door, Empower, Golden Eagle, and MHP.si. Every one of you turned a Saturday on Kavanaugh into a season of baseball for kids and adults across Arkansas.

The burgers were the headline. The reason we showed up is what happens next: more players on the field, more families finding a place where their kid belongs, more Saturdays that families never thought they would get. You made all of it possible.

And one more thing. Northwest Arkansas, we are coming for you. The Miracle League Burger Competition heads north this September. Start picking your favorite burger spots now.
