A data center campus in north-central Georgia consumed more than 29 million gallons of water without the local utility company initially realizing it, triggering low-pressure water flow to its host community, Politico reported Saturday.

The 615-acre Fayetteville-based data center campus, codenamed “Project Excalibur,” was found to have one water connection installed without the knowledge of the Fayette County water system, and another that was not linked to its developer’s account and therefore was not being billed, according to the outlet.

Imagine if a renter decided to remodel their landlord’s home without permission.

Why are the American people allowing the complete destruction of our historic sites?

Tonight we had the honor of attending the Fisher Shackleford Dinner, where Former Vice President Kamala Harris spoke. She shared truth that we cannot continue to let ourselves be divided.

Thank you to all who put in the hard work to organize, coordinate, and host the event tonight. We are glad for the honorees and that they were recognized for their continued dedication to Arkansas.

We hope this night can spur continued momentum and that we can build a stronger presence, one that moves beyond applause and into effecting palpable, positive change.

Relatively few Asian Americans say they’re well-informed about Asian history in the U.S., so how can we expect other communities to be well-informed?

Join us on May 12th at the Democratic Party of Saline County headquarters to learn a bit about American History in our OrientAsian training, because Asian Americans are Americans.

About one-in-four Asian Americans (24%) consider themselves extremely or very informed about the history of Asian people in the United States.

Arkansas politics as an Asian American be like…

Smiled while being called the wrong ethnicity.

Answered a question about a different country during an American political discussion.

Managed your expression while someone told you about your long lost Asian ancestor.

Calculated whether correcting someone would cost you a potential “ally”.

Invisibly absorbed a microaggression during a meeting you were leading.

Greeted in a language that is not yours.

Asked to speak on behalf of an entire diaspora alone in a room full of people who know nothing about you.

Decided not to respond to a racist remark so you wouldn’t become the problem.

Sat through someone’s DNA test story when you came to talk about your work.

Protected people from spaces you cannot protect yourself from by not inviting them to this one.

Came to the next meeting prepared to go through it all over again for the sake of the cause and not your own.

If you want to really be an Ally, learn more. We’re hosting an upcoming training for those who’d like to support our work.

We Are AANHPI Families, is hosting a FREE engaging four-part virtual conversation series where we come together to share stories and collective wisdom within and across cultures. Centering AANHPI (Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander) families’ lived experiences and future possibilities, this series will braid the promises and challenges of multi-generational, multi-cultural child-rearing while honoring practices, heritages, languages, traditions, and the many different ways love is expressed.

It's an excellent opportunity to learn and connect.

Over the weekend, the Young Democrats of Arkansas hosted their Spring Convention. 200 young people from across the state registered and showed up to learn how to advocate, activate, and effectuate change.

We were lucky to be able to sit in on this three-day community event and listen to and learn from our young voices. They learned about petitions and how the people rule in Arkansas through Direct Democracy. They discussed community organizing and how to get people to show up. They called potential and past voters and helped our candidates outreach. And they met and heard from our candidates to better understand the platforms and policies of those who are running.

This group deliberated on tough topics, discussed real concerns, and demonstrated that they aren't our future; they are our TODAY. It's time we older folks gave them the reins and let them lead us to a better tomorrow.

Thank you for opening your doors to us and for letting us learn from your deep wisdom. We can't wait to see what else you all have up your sleeves.
