FRUIT LOOP update!

Mrs. Tull visited Fruit Loop IN PERSON at the dairy farm at College of the Ozarks last week. Fruit Loop is doing amazingly well and enjoying time in the pasture with all of her herd mates. They behave like overgrown puppies and want to love on everyone who enters. They love to be scratched and petted.

She also got to see two newborn calves in the nursery and see how the milk in machines work.

The farm said she can come back and continue to visit Fruit Loop but the official Adopt a Cow Program will not follow her past our last update. CSES will adopt a new calf next year and receive all the updates about that one through the program. We aren’t sure if our new calf will be at this same farm or in some other part of the country.

Following the visit, she walked over to the Gaetz Tractor Museum which was a free museum with farming equipment right next to the milking facility. Then, she went over the the school’s Keeter Center which functions as a lodge and full restaurant open to the public. The food is incredible! They even have a store where the students sell items.

It was an amazing visit. Fruit Loop is being well cared for and she’s a happy girl with her friends. The farmer said she is one of their favorites because she is so friendly and enjoys having her picture taken.

Champions can look for more on Fruit Loop’s visit when school starts and Mrs. Tull shares all of her fun videos with them in class.

ALSO- Fruit Loop will start producing her own milk sometime around her second birthday. While most of it stays on campus, any surplus will be sold to Hiland Dairy. That means we could be enjoying ice cream, milk, cheese, etc. from Fruit Loop in as little as two years!!

Some farewells are harder than others… and this one is definitely one of the hardest. ❤️

Today we share our belated farewell video for Coach Mac. He is a man who has meant so much to every single person at College Station Elementary. While we are heartbroken to see him leave us, we could not be more proud of him for stepping into an amazing opportunity that came his way. This wasn’t something he went searching for, but when the opportunity presented itself, it was simply too good to pass up. We know he deserves every bit of it.

Coach Mac has been our everyday cheerleader, motivator, supporter, encourager, and friend. He poured his heart into our school, our staff, and especially our champions. His impact can be felt in every hallway, every classroom, and every smile inside our building.

It’s hard to imagine our daily lives without him here, but one thing we know for certain is that Coach Mac will always be part of College Station Elementary. Once we return to our new school building, a jersey will hang forever in his honor. It will forever be a reminder of everything he helped us build and the legacy he leaves behind.

Because the truth is… Coach Mac IS College Station Elementary through and through.

This short video could never fully capture the love we have for him or how deeply he will be missed, but we hope he knows just how much he means to all of us. This is true for both adults and children alike.

We love you, Coach Mac. Thank you for everything. Now go continue to be great. 💙💛

👶🏽🍼A baby boy is on the way!!!

Today, the College Station Elementary family gathered after school to celebrate our very own Ms. Larry. She is expecting a little baby bundle of joy this summer and we are so excited!

We showered her with a special luncheon and gifts for the newest baby champion dragon.🐉

In addition, it was Coach Mac’s last day (more about that in a future Facebook post later this weekend) and we presented him with a jersey that will forever hang, in his honor, at the new College Station Elementary School.🏀⛹🏾‍♂️

Today our champions had an absolutely MAGICAL time with Scott Morgan from First Electric Cooperative! ⚡🎩

Scott brought an engaging “Magic and Electricity” show to our school, and the students LOVED every second of it! The room was filled with shouting, cheering, laughter, and excitement as they learned all about electrical safety in such a fun and memorable way.

Thank you, Scott Morgan, for spending the day with us and for teaching our kids to “Stop! Look! and Think!” before making decisions around electricity. We are so grateful for community partners like First Electric Cooperative who make learning exciting and meaningful for our students! 💙⚡
