The Arkansas Division of Higher Education is responsible for carrying out the policy directives of the AHECB, reviewing college and university academic programs and developing funding recommendations for the state’s 11 public universities and 22 public two-year colleges as well as several other post-secondary entities. In addition, the agency is responsible for distributing approximately $130 mill

Welcome to the team! Briana is interning with our Financial Aid team this summer through the Arkansas Department of Shared Administrative Services MyARInternship program! She is a Finance major with a Real Estate emphasis at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and expects to graduate in Fall 2026! After graduation, she plans to become either a financial planner or a real estate appraiser.

When asked why she chose this internship, she said she wanted to gain a better understanding of how financial aid is allocated and distributed to students, as well as insight into the processes and policies that help make higher education more accessible and affordable.
