The Boys and Girls Club of Central Arkansas visited for an inside look at a 62nd Airlift Squadron mission.

Interacting with leadership presented a perspective on what its like to serve and what it takes to be part of the team.

The group explored tactical gear and took their steps on the flight line for an up-close tour of the aircraft, getting a firsthand look at the teamwork and dedication behind every mission.

Honoring the sacrifice, preserving the legacy 🇺🇸

On March 12, 1985, six brave Airmen made the ultimate sacrifice on a flight with the call sign Ivory 77, a 62nd Tactical Airlift Squadron training sortie that tragically crashed.

40 years later, the 314th Airlift Wing hosted a remembrance ceremony attended by the family of fallen crew members Capt. Richard Couture and Capt. Kevin Kelleher, to honor the loss of the Ivory 77 crew. Their courage, dedication and legacy continues to inspire generations of C-130 tactical airlifters today.

Last weekend, the 62nd Airlift Squadron had an incredible time visiting San Francisco for Girls in Aviation! We connected with young women interested in aviation and showcased the diverse opportunities available in our field. We shared stories and experiences that ignited their passion for flying!

A huge thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to all the amazing girls who attended.

Together, we're not just flying high; we're lifting each other up, breaking barriers and paving the way for !

Congratulations to this month’s "PROPs" recipient, SrA Savannah Toms! SrA Toms is being recognized for the incredible work she's been doing as an Aerospace Propulsions Journeyman in the 314th AMXS. Notably, she was the first SrA identified as deserving of waivered limited Red X's. Thank you for all you do for the 314th Airlift Wing. Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed!

Congratulations to Nicole Reese on being the Little Rock AFB Combat Airlifter of the Week! Thank you for all that you do for the 314th Airlift Wing.

Congratulations to our Combat Airlifter of the Week, Nicole Reese!

Nicole Reese, 314th Airlift Wing budget analyst, fulfilled a vacant GS-11 position's responsibilities for four months and revamped all command financial management briefings, placemats and spending status trackers. Reese also enabled a flawless fiscal year 2023-2024 closeout of $5.4 million annual 314th AW budget.

Additionally, Reese oversaw $750,000 in completed contracted purchases for FY24 to include a multi-facility wasp mediation plan.

Finally, Reese completed Government Purchase Card audits for all 314th AW units, verifying $811,000 of purchases' fiscal accountability.

Time in service: 5 years (Civilian)
Time at Little Rock: 8 months
Goals: Obtain a Certified Defense Financial Manager Certification
Hobbies: Camping, hiking, reading, crafting

'This culture is thriving!' 😎

That's what Maj. Gen. Gregory Kreuder, commander of the 19th Air Force, had to say after stopping by Little Rock Air Force Base and visiting the tactical airlift "Center of Excellence."

Joined by Chief Master Sgt. Keith Scott, command chief of the 19th Air Force, the command team was able to see the latest in training innovations--including virtual reality tools for maintainers and advanced simulation systems for C-130 aircrew. They also toured the new Consolidated Flight Training Unit, which features cutting-edge facilities for immersive training.

“Developing the Airmen we need means fostering a culture of learning and adaptability,” Kreuder said. “During this trip, I’ve seen firsthand how this culture is thriving, with advanced training programs and dedicated instructors who are preparing Airmen for our time of consequence in this era of Great Power Competition."
