Little Rock AFB Outdoor Recreation provides recreational opportunities for airmen and their families. We rent a wide variety of equipment including bouncy houses, trailers, lawn mowers, pressure washers and boats. We also provide outdoor adventure trips such as Kayaking, Guided Fishing, Hikes, Camping, Stargazing, and many others.

Make a splash this summer with 19 FSS at the Little Rock AFB Swimming Pool! We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our team for the 2026 season.

Position Details:
🏊 Lifeguard & Lead Lifeguard openings
💵 $15 – $20.55 per hour (based on experience)
🎓 Up to $250 lifeguard certification reimbursement (rules apply)
📅 Must be 16 years or older
📜 Lifesaving & Water Rescue certification required (from the American Red Cross or similar recognized agency)
🇺🇸 Open to all — including enlisted personnel seeking a second job opportunity!

🐧 Waddle into adventure this World Penguin Day! 🐧

Celebrate with ODR on a fun-filled trip to the Little Rock Zoo! Explore incredible exhibits featuring over 400 animals from around the world — from the African Savannah to the Great Apes. Don’t miss Penguin Pointe, where you can watch adorable African penguins swim and play in honor of their special day! 🐧💙

Our new location at 1030 Cannon Dr. will be open beginning March 24th!

As we transition into their new space, the following temporary hours of operation will be in place:
🕘 Thursday, March 19th: 9 AM – 2 PM
🕘 Friday, March 20th: 9 AM – 2 PM
🚫 Monday, March 23rd: Closed
🎉 Tuesday, March 24th: Grand Reopening!

We’re excited to welcome the community into this new, expanded space, which will help us continue to grow their programs and better serve Team Little Rock. Stop by and check it out!

The Home of Herk Nation is proud to announce the first-ever Run the Runway Half Marathon, 5K, and 1-Mile Kids Run, happening May 30, 2026!

For the first time, we’re excited to welcome members of our community without prior base access to join us for this incredible event. Together, we’ll celebrate the rich heritage and history of our installation, made possible through the continued support of our local community and the state.

All participants will have the rare opportunity to race on our historic runway, which has supported critical United States military operations since opening in 1955. It’s a one-of-a-kind experience you won’t want to miss!
