SCDOT and Central Midlands Council of Governments are seeking feedback on how to improve the U.S. 76/176 Corridor. The study will include Little Mountain from Chapin to Lindler Field Road.

If you live or work in Columbia, Irmo, Chapin, and Little Mountain and travel along U.S. 76/176, you are invited to attend a public information meeting to learn more about the U.S. 76/176 Corridor Feasibility Study. See you there!

NEWBERRY COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY will be distributing free straw for dog or cat houses on SUNDAY DECEMBER 1ST from 11:00am-1 pm in the Derrick Community Center parking lot - 16 Depot St Little Mountain SC. Please take advantage of this kind offer. No animal should be cold.

LITTLE MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING
Join us Sunday December 1st 4:30pm-6 pm at Brady Park and Old Town Hall. Little Mountain Elementary School Chorus will perform for everyone. Refreshments will be served in Old Town Hall. And SANTA will drop by to see us!!

ADOPT A SPOT FOR THE 4th ANNUAL LITTLE MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING CELEBRATION
This year's celebration will be Sunday December 1st, from 4:30pm to 6:00pm in Brady Park.

We are now seeking sponsors and volunteers to help decorate!

Come help decorate Saturday November 16th from 9:00 am - until. We will meet at Brady Park next to Old Town Hall.

Today is the run off election for Town of Little Mountain. Please vote.

A special election run-off in the Town of Little Mountain will be held on Tuesday, April 9th,2024.
The following office and candidates shall be included in this election:
Town Council Seat, Little Mountain:
A. Lane Attaway and Mary Buntin (One Vote Only)

Early Voting: will begin Wednesday, April 3rd – Friday, April 5th, 2024, and Monday, April 8th, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Newberry County Voter Registration Office, 1872 Wilson Rd, Newberry, SC 29108.

On Thursday, April 11th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., the Newberry County Board of Canvassers will hold a hearing to determine the validity of all provisional ballots cast in the election. This hearing will be held at Newberry County Voter Registration and Elections, 1872 Wilson Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

The following precinct and polling place will be open on election day 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.:

Special Election for Council Seats 1 and 2 are being held today March 26. Candidates for Seat 1 are Lane Attaway and Mary Buntin. Candidate for Seat 2 is Patrick Bowers. Polls are open from 7 am to 7 pm at the Derrick Community Center.

All crossings in Little Mountain are closed now. Only Depot St will stay open. Longtrail and Dogwood will stay until the last minute to try minimized their closure. Closed from Caldwell Drive to Cummanlander Crossing. Sam Koon is open now.
