🚨In need of a smoke alarm?🚨

Little Mountain Fire & Rescue has partnered with the American Red Cross and Fire Safe South Carolina to help provide smoke alarms to residents in our community. Due to limited program funding and a LIMITED SUPPLY of smoke alarms, installations will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis for qualifying households. Residents within the Little Mountain ZIP Code (29075) will be given priority for smoke alarm installations, as serving our local community and fire district remains our primary focus.

Residents may download and complete the mail-in request form and mail it to Little Mountain Fire & Rescue, 219 North Boundary Street, Little Mountain, SC 29075. You may also complete and submit the online request form on our website https://www.littlemountainfirerescue.org/smokealarmrequest or download the form and email it to [email protected].

A representative from Little Mountain Fire & Rescue will contact you regarding your request and appointment availability. If you have any questions about the program, please contact us at [email protected].

Again, we are very limited on the smoke alarms we have in stock!

Little Mountain Fire-Rescue had five volunteers attend the Aerial Operations Class back in August in Newberry. We are proud of our folks for dedicating their time and putting in the work to help the SC State Fire's mission to protect lives and property.

City of Newberry Fire Department recently hosted an Aerial Operations class, bringing together firefighters from five departments for hands-on training in ladder truck placement and aerial operations. By strengthening individual skills and building operational capability across departments, training like this supports SC State Fire’s mission to be the focal point for service and support to save lives and property.

Little Mountain Fire-Rescue is collecting baked goods for our Shealy's BBQ Plate Fundraiser on September 25th.

We would greatly appreciate donations of: 🍪 Cookies 🧁 Cupcakes 🍰 Cakes 🥧 Pies 🍫 Brownies 🍞 Sweet Breads or any other sweet treats.

📍 Please drop off all baked goods before 4:00 PM on September 25th or message us and we can make arrangements to pick up or meet earlier as needed.

Engine 62 and Tanker 64 are currently assisting County of Lexington, SC with a working structure fire in the Lazy Brook area.

Members of Little Mountain and Fairview O'Neal Fire Department are training with Soda City Training on Mallard cove at an acquired structure. This gives real fire in real scenarios. Thanks to the guys from Soda City for having us!

Tonight our volunteers sharpened their skills with a hands‑on entrapment rescue drill. Crews practiced search and rescue using only GPS coordinates, stabilized a complex scene, lifted a heavy object with air bags, and safely removed a simulated trapped patient. At the same time, we were proud to have an ALS ambulance crew staffed at the Mid‑Carolina football game.

Tanker 64, along with other units from Newberry County and across the state, is currently assisting with the fire at the Mlily plant in Winnsboro, as part of the SC Firefighter mobilization. Please help us keep all firefighters and emergency personnel in your thoughts as they work to bring this incident under control.
