The Little Falls Police Department consists of 11 sworn, full time officers, thirteen part time officers, one full-time Civilian Police Clerk, 4 crossing guards and one dog control officer. The Department members are highly trained, professional men and women dedicated to providing the best caliber of police services to the residents of our community 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

As of today December 10th, 2025, the Parking Ban is in effect. All vehicles must be off of the road between the hours of 0200-0600. Thank you.

Looking for the owner of this dog. Found on State Route 5 between Herkimer and Little Falls. Is currently at the our station. If you happen to know the owner please call the station at 315-823-1123.

We have been made aware that the Herkimer County 911 Center and area residents have been receiving multiple threatening swatting calls. The callers are also stating that the Police Department is looking for them. All Police Agencies will reach out to you directly via phone or in person if they are trying to contact you and never go through a third party. Please do not give out any information to these callers and hang up immediately. If you have any questions after receiving one of these calls, please reach out to the Herkimer County 911 Center on their non-emergency line. (315) 866-0974

With the anticipation of severe weather tomorrow, the Canal Day Celebration Parade has been canceled. There will be no rescheduling of the parade for 2024.

Due to sewer construction on Danube St, all vehicles are to be off the street and the road will be closed to thru traffic from 07:00am-03:30pm, Monday-Friday. The construction will begin Wednesday March 27, 2024 and will last for approximately 2 weeks.

Due to the predicted snow storm coming, the Parking Ban will be in effect starting tonight 01/05/2024 and will be enforced.

*Reminder*

Vehicles are to be off of the street between the hours of 02:00am-06:00am.

Vehicles are allowed to park on the sidewalk from 10:00pm-07:00am.

Tickets will be issued to anyone not following said guidelines.

OFC FAITH PEDERSEN and OFC MORGAN DIANI participated in the 11th annual CNY Memorial Stair Climb this past Saturday morning that was held at the State Office Building in Utica.

This event pays tribute to first responders who died in the line of duty on Sept. 11, 2001. First Responders/ Participants climb 110 floors (the height of the former World Trade Center towers). At the completion of the climb, each participant rings a bell to honor a first responder that they climbed for.
