Township of Little Falls, NJ OEM Little Falls Office of Emergency Management serves the residents of Little Falls, NJ.

LF OEM assists in planning for and mobilization of emergency services when the need arises. Little Falls OEM also operates a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) which is comprised of volunteers who are certified and prepared to assist their fellow residents in the time of an emergency. CERT also operates during large scale events throughout the Township on a regular basis.

Mikie Sherrill has declared a State of Emergency for New Jersey effective Sunday, February 22 at 12:00 PM due to an approaching severe winter storm.

🌨 Expected impacts:
• Blizzard conditions
• 10+ inches of snow statewide
• Wind gusts up to 55 mph
• Hazardous travel

⚠️ Little Falls Township Notice:
All vehicles MUST be removed from roadways to allow DPW crews to salt and plow safely.
Vehicles left on the street will be ticketed and towed. 🚓

All vehicles must be removed from roadways immediately. Police are actively ticketing and towing vehicles in accordance with the current State of Emergency. Plows are in operation and will continue throughout the day to clear roadways. Residents are advised not to travel and to remain off all roadways to allow crews to operate safely.

Governor Mikie Sherrill has declared a State of Emergency for all 21 NJ Counties, effective Saturday January 24 at 5:00 PM, due to a severe winter storm.

❄️Expected impacts:
• 12+ inches of snow statewide
• Dangerous cold and wind gusts up to 30 mph
• Extremely hazardous travel from Saturday night through Monday

🚫Avoid travel. Stay home if possible
🚗ALL VEHICLES must be removed from roadways before snowfall begins to allow snowplows to salt and clear roads.

A significant winter storm is likely late Saturday night through Monday, with a high chance (>85%) of 6”+ of snow and a ~50% chance of 12”+. The heaviest snow is expected Sunday into Sunday night, bringing dangerous travel, blowing/drifting snow, and major disruptions.

In addition, prolonged frigid air arrives Friday night through mid-next week, with temperatures staying well below freezing and sub-zero wind chills possible.

⚠️ Prepare now for hazardous travel, extreme cold, and potential infrastructure impacts.
