The Friends of Lindbergh's biggest effort is now focused on the upcoming centennial celebration of Charles Lindbergh's historic solo, nonstop transatlantic flight. This monumental commemoration will take place over six months in 2027. We are proud to announce that the official theme for this 100-year anniversary is "Dreams Take Flight," and the celebration will feature a major Airshow on August 21, 2027.

We invite you to get involved! If you are interested in being part of the planning committee for this six-month centennial celebration, please let us know by becoming a member today!

The Friends of Lindbergh Heritage connected with members and saw changes to our local heritage sites. We held our annual membership meeting in September at the beautiful Charles A. Lindbergh State Park. Meanwhile, the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum transitioned into a designated trail site. While the house and museum buildings are currently closed, the Minnesota Historical Society is working to enhance the visitor experience by adding additional exterior signage to the grounds. This signage will allow people to continue to learn about Lindbergh’s history as they explore the grounds.

The year 2025 was marked by both significant travel and robust fundraising efforts for the Friends of Lindbergh Heritage. A major highlight was the successful Sister City Exchange trip to France in July, fostering continued international connections. Our fundraising for the next exchange in 2027 was incredibly active: we hosted a Heritage Dinner in November and successfully held garage sales in both May and August. Furthermore, our dedicated volunteers spent time working brat sales at Coborn's, with all these initiatives generating crucial funds specifically designated for the 2027 Sister City Exchange.
