The City of Little Falls is seeking community feedback on the Highway 27 River Crossing Project.

If you have questions, ideas, concerns, or simply want to learn more about the project, stop by the Highway 27 River Crossing Project booth at the Arts & Crafts Fair this weekend! 🎨🛍️

Representatives from Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH), the City's project consultant, will be available to share information and hear from members of the community about the project.

Your feedback matters! We encourage residents to stop by, ask questions, and share their thoughts.

Crandall EDC is working with partners to replace the Highway 27 bridge over the Mississippi, improve safety, and eliminate delays caused by the at‑grade railroad crossing construction begins in 2030.

Do you operate a Special Use Vehicle in Little Falls? The City has created a new webpage with helpful information about:

🔹 ATVs – Class 1 & Class 2 (steering wheel)
🔹 UTVs
🔹 Mini-trucks
🔹 Motorized golf carts

The new page includes information about permits, requirements, where these vehicles may be operated, and important rules to know.

A reminder: The new Special Use Vehicle ordinance does not take effect until October 1, 2026. Permits are not available yet, but we’ll share more information as we get closer to the effective date and let you know when applications and permits are available.

It’s been a splashin’ good summer! Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the Splash Pad, cool off, and make some great summer memories with us!

The last day the Splash Pad will be open this season is September 15, 2026.

Please note that the bathroom facilities will also close for the season following September 15.

Looking ahead to next summer: The Splash Pad will generally be open from Memorial Day through Labor Day, but Mother Nature may have other plans! If we have a warmer-than-usual spring or a beautiful stretch of weather in September, the season may open a little earlier or be extended a little longer.

We’ll see you next season!

CITY OFFICES CLOSED – LABOR DAY

City of Little Falls offices will be closed Monday, September 7, 2026, in observance of Labor Day.

City offices will reopen during regular business hours on Tuesday, September 8.

1st Avenue SE Construction Update - No Parking on 1st Avenue SE August 17–21

As construction continues on the 1st Avenue SE Project, please be aware that no parking will be allowed on 1st Avenue SE from Monday, August 17, through Friday, August 21.

Please plan accordingly and watch for construction workers, equipment, and temporary traffic changes in the area.

Election season is here, and we know everyone is excited to show their support!

Just a friendly reminder: election signs need to stay out of the public right-of-way.

Where does the right-of-way generally end?

* With a sidewalk: around the back of the sidewalk
* No sidewalk? Approximately 5 feet beyond the back of the curb

Signs placed in the public right-of-way are subject to confiscation.

So, before you put out that sign, take a quick step back and make sure it’s on private property. Thank you for helping keep our public right-of-way clear and safe.
