This past weekend, we recognized the Change of Responsibility from 1SG Digiacomo to 1SG Malm. We extend our sincere gratitude to both of these outstanding leaders for their dedication and service. The lasting impact made by 1SG Digiacomo has helped set a strong foundation, one that will support 1SG Malm as she continues to lead and strengthen the best organization within the 175th Regional Training Institute. Congratulations to both on this important milestone!

We recently came together as an RTI family to celebrate the holiday season and recognize several major accomplishments from the past year. The event also served as a hail and farewell—welcoming new members to the unit while wishing the very best to those moving on to their next chapters.

A special and heartfelt thank you goes to our retirees: SSG Jackson, SFC Gravdahl, SFC Johnson, SFC Berg, and MSG Schafer. Your years of service, leadership, and dedication have left a lasting impact on this unit and the Minnesota National Guard. We are truly grateful for all you have given in service to our Soldiers and our state.

We were also honored to present the Order of St. George to MSG Schafer and MSG Sogge in recognition of their exceptional service and commitment to excellence.

From all of us at the RTI, we wish everyone a safe, joyful, and restful holiday season. Happy Holidays to you and your families!

Congratulations to Retired 1SG Ronald Hansen on his induction into the Minnesota Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame!
1SG Hansen is one of only three NCOs to receive this prestigious honor, recognizing his "above and beyond" contributions. As one of the longest-serving leaders in the OCS program, his influence was pivotal during the Global War on Terror troop surges, where he helped achieve the highest graduation rates in the nation and developed new standards adopted across TRADOC.
Beyond his official duties, he was a mentor and an inspiration, leaving a legacy of steadfast dedication and transformative impact on the countless officers he guided.
Please join us in congratulating 1SG Hansen on this incredible and well-deserved achievements.

The 2nd Battalion instructors are putting their Advanced Leadership class through an intense Situational Training Exercise. As they react to contact and navigate the dense woods, students engage in crucial training that prepares them to lead infantry squads after the course. The excitement and camaraderie in the air are palpable as they embrace the challenges and lessons from the field!

The Regional Training Site Maintenance at Camp Ripley hosted a track vehicle recovery course for Soldiers from multiple states this month, who got their hands dirty utilizing the M88 Hercules Recovery Vehicle to tow, flip, and pull large track vehicles out of the mud.

The Regional Training Site Maintenance is a network of training facilities within the U.S. Army, designed to provide specialized training for Soldiers in maintenance and operational roles, ensuring that Soldiers are trained and prepared to utilize these skills in the field with their home units.
