Congratulations to the Bethlehem Elementary School 5th grade DARE class taught by Resident Trooper Cody Fitzgerald and Officer Mark Cattey!

During the class, DARE students had K9 demonstrations from Troop L and the Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit (FEIU). The students also marched as a class during the Bethlehem Memorial Day Parade.

Students participated in a field trip to the State Police Training Academy and CT Police Memorial where they toured the training academy with the CT DARE Coordinator Trooper White.

At the end of the program, family and friends attended a DARE class graduation held at the elementary school.

One of the main goals for DARE classes is to ensure the students learn how to make safe and responsible decisions as they prepare for middle school. Trooper Fitzgerald and Officer Cattey make the class as memorable as they can by incorporating field trips and other fun activities throughout the program. We wish all the students well as they enter middle school in the fall!
