🚀 3... 2... 1... BLAST OFF! 🚀
Our amazing 5th-grade students at Scott Libby Elementary took their science lessons to new heights! 🔬✨

After putting their engineering skills to the test building their very own rockets, they finally got to head out to the field for the big Rocket Launch! From designing and assembling to watching them soar into the sky, our young scientists showed incredible teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking. We might just have some future NASA engineers in our midst!👩‍🚀👨‍🚀

🎉 Our 5th graders had an AMAZING time celebrating the end of the school year at Main Event! 🎳🎮🍕 It was the perfect way to wrap up a fantastic year together. 💙💛

We are so proud of all their hard work and memories made this year. Wishing our students a fun, safe, and happy summer! ☀️😎🎊

Congrats to our Builders of the Week, Ms. Bertha Lopez & Ms. Tiffany Waterman!

Ms. Leslie says, "I nominate Ms.Bertha because she is always so willing to help the staff and kids, she always greets everyone with a big smile and her helpful attitude shows that she enjoys doing her job! I look forward to seeing her everyday!"

Ms. Taylor says, "I nominate Tiffany Waterman for Builder of the Week. I am choosing her because she stepped into our classroom and has helped with everything we've asked her to. She is very caring and gentle with the students and understands how to help the STRIDE friends and all of their different needs."

🎩✨ Our 5th graders brought history to life! ✨🎩

They each chose a famous person, researched their lives, and presented their reports in character at their very own Wax Museum. The creativity, costumes, and confidence on display were incredible; so proud of our students!

📸👏 A huge shoutout to our teachers and families for all their support in making this project such a success!

Tonight, the Governing Board recognized Litchfield Learners for their outstanding achievements at the Science & Engineering Fair.

These students demonstrated excellence in science, engineering, innovation, and critical thinking while proudly representing their schools and LESD79. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments.

Way to go Miranda!!

Mr. Andrew says, "I nominate Ms.Taylor because she shows a strong connection with her students and creates a family type of relationship with her kiddos. She always exceeds in what is expected of her and goes the extra mile for every student."

Ms. Tina Marie says, "I would like to nominate Ms. Leslie McKay. I look forward to her morning greetings and kind smiles throughout the day. She is always quick to offer her help and it is much appreciated, especially during morning drop offs. It shows that she enjoys her job and cares for the students through her interactions and her attentiveness to each one of them. Even during those challenging days, Ms. Leslie remains positive and always has a smile. I'm so glad she is a part of the SLE family. "
