Our Pacific Northwest adventure ended with 2 glorious days in California. First we traveled through the Avenue of the Giants with a stop at funky little hippie restaurant and store for lunch before entering San Francisco where we toured on both the land and water and were treated to an airshow including the Blue Angels!

Thursday began with a very foggy visit to Face Rock a famous off shore sea stack off the coast of Bandon, Oregon. We drove out of the marine layer into a clear blue day just in time for jet boat ride on the Rogue River. After lunch we crossed into California and got our first view of the majestic Redwoods!

We've had more action-packed days as we make our way down the Pacific Coast. Wednesday began with a stop at the North American Aerospace Museum followed by a visit to the Yaquina Lighthouse, lunch in Newport and a quick stop to at the Devil's Churn!

Today began with a stroll through the Portland International Rose Test Gardens followed by a visit to the majestic Multnomah Falls in the Columbia River Gorge and a tour of the Hood River Lavender Farm and Stave and Stone Winery which is nestled in between Mt Adams and Mt Hood! The views were out of this world!

Started the day with a foggy but fascinating tour of Seattle including the Amazon domes, Space Needle and a couple of stops along the waterfront before exploring the iconic Pike Place Market.
From there, we headed to the Mount St. Helens Visitor Center before continuing on to Portland to end the day.
Looking forward to exploring Portland and seeing what this city has to offer!

Let the adventures begin! We made it safely to Seattle and enjoyed a delicious welcome dinner with a great view of Elliot Bay and Pike Market! Looking forward to a city tour today before we make our way to Portland!

The Cubs may be out of the running but they were winners at our Baseball Bags game today! Thanks to The Pearl of Downers Grove for providing lunch and prizes!
