How about stopping by the United Methodist Church of Mount Vernon for your choice of chicken or cheese quesadillas, seasoned rice and beans, and fresh fruit and veggies?! Volunteers will be serving it up from noon to 1pm, and you may dine in or get it to go. It's FREE, all ages are welcome, and there's no registration required. We can't wait to see you!

Stop by First Presbyterian Church of Mount Vernon, Iowa for a free lunch as part of our program. From noon to 1pm, we'll be serving up hot ham & cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches, along with tomato soup and fresh fruit & veggies. Dine in or ask for your meal to go. No sign-up. Just show up! Are you looking for fun and rewarding volunteer opportunities this summer? Come help us with our kids' summer activities! (You don't have to LEAD the activity, just be part of the support crew.) We have arts and crafts every Tuesday, and family-friendly movies on Thursdays. Activities are from 1-3pm, so the volunteer shifts are from 12:30-3:30pm, to include set up and clean up.
