Today, Columbiana County Prosecutor Vito J. Abruzzino announced that Christopher M. Morrison, 35, of East Liverpool, was sentenced to life imprisonment for aggravated murder, murder, tampering with evidence, possessing criminal tools, gross abuse of a co**se, and firearm specifications in the December 18, 2023 shooting death of his wife Tiffany Morrison, 34. Tiffany Morrison died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Investigators learned that after the murder Christopher Morrison purchased a saw, blades, rubbing alcohol, and trash bags in order to dispose of the body and hide the murder from law enforcement. Parole hearing eligibility will not occur for Morrison until approximately the year 2050.

Prosecutor Abruzzino credited the work of Chief Jared Kinemond and Detective Robert Ramsey of the Liverpool Township Police Department and their officers, the Columbiana County Major Crimes Task Force, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Columbiana County Coroner’s Office, and the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office for their investigation in this case.

This case was a complete investigation resulting in a conviction on all counts of the indictment.

“The Columbiana County Major Crimes Task Force is a critical tool in bringing to bear all possible resources of the County and State to help solve violent crime. I am proud to report that all police agencies in the County are now participants in the task force. Since 2021, when activated to assist in a case, we have a 100% conviction rate,” stated Prosecutor Abruzzino.

Today, January 25, 2024, Columbiana County Prosecutor Vito J. Abruzzino and Liverpool Township Police Chief Jared Kinemond announce that Christopher M. Morrison, Sr. 34, of East Liverpool, was indicted by the Columbiana County Grand Jury for aggravated murder, murder, tampering with evidence, possessing criminal tools, gross abuse of a co**se, and firearm specifications in the December 18, 2023 shooting death of his wife Tiffany Morrison, 34.

Tiffany Morrison was found deceased at their shared residence located in Liverpool Township. Christopher Morrison is currently incarcerated on a 1.5-million-dollar bond and is expected to be arraigned in early February.

Prosecutor Abruzzino and Chief Kinemond credit the work of their respective agencies and the Columbiana County Major Crimes Task Force, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Columbiana County Coroner’s Office, and the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team for their investigative work in this case.
