With the winter weather upon us, remember to always give the snow plow drivers you meet or come upon a wide space, and keep a safe distance behind them. They are out there working hard to keep our roads open and safe!

When you get behind them, don’t get annoyed because you are going to be late for someplace you need to be. Thanks to them, you will get there, and remember they are clearing the road so you CAN get there safely!

Do not try to pass as you are putting yourself, others, and the snow plow drivers in harms way! They are clearing the road for each of us and as fast and safely as they can. Be patient!

And remember, while you may not know them, the drivers are a husband or wife, a dad, a mom, a grandfather grandmother, uncle, aunt, sister or brother, son or daughter, and someone’s friend.

When you are behind them or meet them on the road, and see them out in all type of weather at all times of the day or night, thank them. When we are all nestled safely in our home during a storm, they have been called out to work and will do so until the snow stops, the ice is treated, and the roads are cleared.

So when you meet them on the road, slow down; and when you come up behind them, give them room. And remember they have someone waiting at home for them to get home safely to as well!

Happy Veterans Day! Thank you to all who served this great country of ours to protect our freedoms and fight for liberties call. Thank you to all who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you to our active duty men and women who are presently serving. Those who chose to serve our country in all branches of the military are a special group of people, willing to give their life for each of us. That is an extraordinary person. I thank each of you for being willing to write that check up to and including giving your life to protect myself, family, friends, loved ones, and our sacred freedoms we hold so dear. God bless each of you and your families. God bless the USA. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

On behalf of myself and the Town Board, I would like to give a huge thank you to our Highway crew for helping to preserve one of the Towns historic buildings, the Hepburn Library. The Highway crew just completed a project to install drainage around the Library to divert water away from the building and into the storm drainage system. The building has suffered from years of water penetrating into the basement, and this project will preserve and ensure the integrity of the Library for many years to come!
We would also like to thank Jason Curan of Seaway Valley Lawn Care for the great job he did hydro seeding the area that was excavated. The project was a quality job done by all! Thank you for a job well done!

Let us always remember what this day is about, a day to give thanks and remember those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country and precious liberties and freedoms. The cemeteries have flags marked at graves of our veterans, visit one and say thank you. God bless America and thank you to all that have served and paid the price for freedom. 🇺🇸
