Community Crossings work is underway!

Crews are currently working on sidewalk improvements as part of the Community Crossings project. As part of the grant-funded project, sidewalks are also being replaced where applicable along streets selected for repaving.

The streets and improvements included in Community Crossings must meet the requirements of the state grant program.

* Important Note* : The City does not independently determine which streets or sidewalks can be included.

Please use caution around active construction areas and give crews plenty of room to work. We appreciate your patience as these improvements are completed throughout Linton.

BOIL WATER ADVISORY — CITY OF LINTON 🚨

The City of Linton is currently under a precautionary Boil Water Advisory until further notice.

What does a Boil Water Advisory mean?
An advisory is a precautionary measure. It does not necessarily mean the water is contaminated. A loss of water pressure or other issue can create the possibility for bacteria or other germs to enter the water system, so the water is tested before the advisory can be lifted. Linton’s current situation follows maintenance that officials warned could cause a system-wide pressure drop.

💧 Until the advisory is lifted:

Use bottled water OR boil tap water at a full rolling boil for 1 minute, then allow it to cool.
Use boiled/bottled water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, baby formula, and pet drinking water.
Continue these precautions until the City of Linton announces that the advisory has been lifted.

The CDC recommends the one-minute rolling boil to kill germs that could cause illness.
