..Snow Squalls Possible Monday with Travel Impacts...
Scattered to numerous snow showers are expected to develop Monday
as an Arctic cold front sweeps through the area. The falling
temperatures, strong wind gusts of 35-40 MPH, and these snow
showers may allow for the development of snow squalls, which are
brief, but intense bursts of snow accompanied by strong, gusty
winds, creating areas of near whiteout visibility and rapidly
deteriorating road conditions, which can quickly cause development
of hazardous travel conditions. Even outside of squalls, snow
showers and strong winds may cause spotty travel difficulties on
Monday, particularly for high profile vehicles.
Those planning to travel across central Indiana Monday should
monitor forecasts, and be prepared for rapidly changing travel
conditions
