Senior Connections – June 11, June 16, and June 25

Join us at the Barefoot Event Center in Linn, MO for Senior Connections, held the second and fourth Thursday of each month. We will also have a special gathering in Westphalia on Tuesday, June 16 at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

Doors open at 10:30 AM
Lunch is served at 11:00 AM
Bingo begins around 12:00 PM, along with board games and cards

Cost:
$5 for ages 60+
$7 for those under 60

Come meet new friends, enjoy lunch, and learn about exciting programs and opportunities in our community. Whether you’re a senior, a family member, or a community supporter, this event is for you.

The Step Up to Leadership Class is a FREE, 12-week VIRTUAL course is designed to give you leadership skills to follow your passions and make a difference in our community! Each session is 2 hours long and begins the week of June 15th through August 31st. Selected participants will be from Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Moniteau and Osage counties.

Participants are:

People who want to take on the challenge of leadership
People with a passion, who want to make a difference in their communities
People who are willing to assume the responsibilities of board membership
People who want to feel more competent, knowledgeable, and effective in a board setting
There are income guidelines however anyone who may be interested is welcome to apply. Applications will be reviewed for consistency with CMCA’s mission and values.

*Application deadline is June 3rd.

Come connect, eat, and learn with friends! Join us for Senior Connections at the Barefoot Event Center in Linn tomorrow. The doors open at 10:30 am with lunch served from 11 am-1 pm. Resources and services will be offered from 10:30 am-1 pm.

Meal provided by St. Ann's Sodality of St. George Catholic Church. Cost is $5 for Seniors 60 and above and $7 for anyone younger than 60. CASH ONLY.

This event’s meal is generously provided by St. Ann’s Sodality of St. George Catholic Church. Come enjoy lunch, connect with others, and explore resources and services available in our community.

🎓 Chamois Decision Day 2026 🎓

On Friday, May 15, Chamois School celebrated its seniors during Decision Day, recognizing their plans and achievements after graduation Osage County R-1 Schools!

We are proud to congratulate:
• 1 student attending Lincoln University
• 1 student attending Southeast Missouri State University
• 1 student attending the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky
• 1 student attending Truman State University
• 2 students attending State Tech
• 3 students entering the workforce

CMCA was honored to be there to support and celebrate the students entering the workforce as they begin this exciting next chapter. We also want to thank State Tech for attending and supporting the students who have chosen to continue their education there.

This is such a wonderful event that Chamois School holds each year to recognize seniors and celebrate the many different paths they choose after high school. Congratulations to all of the graduates—we wish you success and happiness in all that lies ahead!
