This week, we proudly recognize and honor the dedicated men and women of our Correctional Division during Correctional Officer Week.
Correctional Officer Week was established in 1984, when President Ronald Reagan officially proclaimed the first national observance to recognize the essential role correctional professionals play in our criminal justice system. Since then, this week has served as an important reminder of the hard work and dedication of those who serve behind the walls.
Our correctional staff play a vital role in maintaining the safety, security, and integrity of our facility. Their work often goes unseen, but it is essential to the daily operations of our office and the protection of our community. They demonstrate professionalism, resilience, and unwavering commitment in a challenging environment every single day.
From managing inmate welfare to ensuring order within the facility, their responsibilities are both demanding and critical. We are grateful for their service, their sacrifice, and their dedication to upholding the law.
Please join us in thanking our Correctional Officers for the important work they do. Your commitment does not go unnoticed.
