A reminder about public safety night out on Tuesday, from 6-8pm. Please try and make plans to attend and meet your local first responders. Free admission! Bring the kids and allow them to witness first responders in the flesh, up close and personal. Fire trucks, Ambulances, Police cars, helicopters, and much more to see! Come out and support and meet your first responders within your county. We all look forward to seeing you there.

The EVOC class will be Saturday August 16th from 8:30-4. There is no charge for the class and registration is day of starting at 8. We have had a lot of interest in this class and ask if everyone can please help share to get the word out to everyone. Thank you for your support of CCRS.

At approximately 11 a.m. Wednesday morning Clay County Rescue Squad’s search and rescue team was paged out to an adolescent who had fallen on the Chinnabee Trail in Clay County. CCRS responded along with Anniston Fire Departments wilderness team, North Star EMS in Talladega and ALEA’s aviation unit along with Air Evac. We greatly appreciate everyone’s help for a smooth rescue.
