For the last ten years, it’s been my absolute honor to represent the 11th Assembly District—our wonderful communities of Amityville, Copiague, Lindenhurst, Wyandanch, Wheatley Heights, East Farmingdale, and parts of North and West Babylon, East Massapequa, and Deer Park. I’ve had the chance to meet countless neighbors and connect with community groups that work so hard every day to make our home stronger, safer, and more welcoming.

As I step away from this role, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for placing your trust in me. Representing you has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life. Over the years, we’ve teamed up to secure better funding for our schools and libraries, support the brave men and women who’ve served our country, and create more opportunities for our children to learn and grow. None of these achievements were mine alone—they were ours.

I’m especially proud of the legislation we fought for together. We expanded universal pre-K so that our kids can start learning on solid ground. We improved access to mammogram screenings and promoted better health care for women and children. We stood up against racial housing discrimination, pushed for boating safety measures, tackled the opioid crisis, raised the minimum wage, expanded childcare, protected voter rights, and supported sustainable growth for Suffolk County.

We also secured key funding for our roads, bridges, and nonprofits—organizations that lift our neighbors every single day. I’m so grateful for the partnerships we formed and the conversations we shared. Every step forward came from our collective effort.

Though I’m stepping away from my Assembly seat, I will always remain committed to our community’s success. I look forward to staying involved and continuing to collaborate on projects and initiatives that will lift us all up. Over the last decade, I’ve met so many remarkable people—at town halls, community celebrations, and just walking around our neighborhoods. Our collective resilience and compassion fill me with hope for the future.

Thank you, truly, for letting me serve you. May this holiday season bring you and your loved ones warmth, peace, and joy. Here’s to a new year filled with opportunity and promise for all of us!
