We were proud to join family, friends, colleagues, and members of the emergency services community to honor the life and legacy of New York City Fire Department (FDNY) EMS Chief Deputy David Burke with the ceremonial renaming of 10th Street in West Babylon as "FDNY EMS Chief Deputy David Burke Memorial Way."

Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez, Councilmen Terence McSweeney and Anthony Manetta, and Town Clerk Compitello were honored to take part in this meaningful tribute recognizing Chief Deputy Burke's decades of service, leadership, and dedication to protecting others. Thank you also to Assemblyman Kwani B. O'Pharrow, State Senator Monica R. Martinez, Legislator Tom Donnelly and Legislator RJ Renna for attending.

A highly decorated FDNY EMS leader and 9/11 first responder, Chief Deputy Burke leaves behind a legacy of courage, professionalism, and commitment to public service that will continue to inspire future generations.

May his memory forever be a blessing to his family, friends, colleagues, and the community he served so faithfully.

Congratulations to Sean Sesack on achieving the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting! 🦅

Supervisor Rich Schaffer and Deputy Supervisor Antonio Martinez, along with Legislator RJ Renna, were proud to attend Sean's Eagle Scout Court of Honor and celebrate this remarkable accomplishment.

Sean's dedication to service, leadership, and his community exemplifies the values of Scouting. As part of his Eagle Scout project, Sean restored and enhanced a display showcasing the Town of Babylon's 1950s police holding area at the Town Museum, honoring the service of his grandfather and great-grandfather, both of whom served as policemen.

We commend Sean for his hard work, commitment, and community spirit, and wish him continued success in all of his future endeavors.
