Think your chili has what it takes? The Cass County Peace Officer Association Chili Cook-Off sponsored by Atlanta Dairy Queen is coming up Saturday, October 10th at the Atlanta Visitor Center & Museum (101 N East St) from 11AM-1PM!

Teams can enter the competition for $20, with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Not cooking? Come hungry! It's just $7 for all-you-can-eat chili.

Come out and join us this coming Thursday, September 3, from 4 to 6 PM for our monthly veterans social at Fire and Knives in Linden. Our speaker will be Mark Shaw from Camp V in Tyler. Great guy with a great story talking about a great organization. 

CampV is defined in it's name, a Community Assisting Military Personnel and Veterans.

Eligible veterans may now be able to get TSA PreCheck® for free. ✈️

Through the Veterans Expedited TSA Screening (VETS) Safe Travel Act, veterans with certain severe service-connected disabilities may qualify for a TSA PreCheck application fee waiver.

👉To qualify, all of these must be true:
🔹You’re enrolled in VA health care, and
🔹You have a service-connected disability that resulted in permanent blindness, the loss of a limb, the loss of the use of a limb, full paralysis, or partial paralysis, and
🔹You require the use of a VA-issued wheelchair or prosthetic limb because of a service-connected disability
