We had a blast at our Touch-A-Truck & Fire Open House event yesterday! 🚒🚜

Lincolnwood families and friends came out to climb aboard incredible machines, honk the horns, and meet the people behind the vehicles!

Thank you to our Public Works Department, Lincolnwood Police Department, Lincolnwood Fire Department, Maine-Niles Association of Special Recreation (M-NASR), and our vendors for making the day so special for our community.

We’re so glad you joined us and hope you had as much fun as we did! ❤️

Yellowjacket wasp activity has recently been observed at Proesel Park and Goebelt Park. Yellowjackets can sting when they feel threatened or when their nests are disturbed, so please use caution when visiting these areas.

Public Works is actively addressing the issue. As a precaution, the sand and surrounding playground curb at Goebelt Park will be removed due to hive activity.

If you’re visiting our parks:
👉 Keep food and drinks covered.
👉 Avoid disturbing yellowjackets or nests.
👉 Avoid areas with large concentrations of yellowjackets.

Thank you for helping keep our parks safe and enjoyable for everyone! 💛
