An art exhibit featuring the work of Jemsy Pradun is now on display at Lincolnwood Village Hall through the end of August. The gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Jemsy is a mixed media artist who works with markers, crayons, and paint markers on paper, layering each medium to create striking compositions. Her pieces explore eclectic surrealism, adapted blind contour, and abstract styles, embracing spontaneity rather than imagined imagery. Drawing from a variety of physical references, she builds each composition step by step into bold, expressive works full of movement and detail.

An art reception will be held on June 25th at 5pm. Stop by, meet the artist, and enjoy an inspiring look into a unique creative process.

During Tuesday's Village Board meeting, Mayor Jesal Patel and the Board recognized Lincolnwood's Student Achievers, named Illinois State Scholars for their academic excellence in high school. Each student received a certificate and gift, and the top male and female students were awarded $1,000 scholarships.

The board room was filled with family, friends, and community members who gathered to celebrate these outstanding students. We are honored to celebrate their hard work, and we look forward to seeing all they will accomplish in the future.
