Today, we honor one of our own as Lt Tim Breslin walks out the doors of the Lincolnwood Fire Department for the final time, concluding an outstanding 28 years of dedicated service.

For nearly three decades, Tim answered every call with courage, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to the citizens of Lincolnwood.

Through long shifts, difficult calls, and countless moments of service, he stood shoulder to shoulder with his brothers and sisters, earning the respect and admiration of everyone who had the privilege to serve alongside him.

The firefighter walkout is one of the fire service's most meaningful traditions. It symbolizes the end of a career defined by sacrifice, dedication, and selfless service. Today, Tim takes that final walk, surrounded by the members of the department who became his second family and who proudly honor the legacy he leaves behind.

Tim, thank you for 28 years of answering the bell, leading by example, and serving with honor. May your retirement be filled with good health, happiness, and the same sense of purpose you've given to this profession.

Congratulations on a remarkable career. Enjoy the next chapter—you've more than earned it.

Congratulations Chief Feld on your retirement! 39 years of dedicated service to the residents and visitors of Niles.

Now in his 39th year as a Niles firefighter, Chief Marty Feld announced his retirement Friday, which will take effect Sunday, Nov. 30. Feld reflected on his nearly four decades working for the village.

We join our brothers and sisters in Richmond, expressing our condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of James (Jim) Bove lll. Jim served Lincolnwood for two decades, attaining the rank of Lieutenant, before pursuing other opportunities outside of our organization. We thank Jim for his service to the residents of Lincolnwood, as well as his leadership and mentorship of our members during his time with us.

It is with great sadness and regret that the Richmond
Township Fire Protection District announces the
passing of FF/PM James (Jim) Bove III, who passed
away October 11th . Jim selflessly dedicated over 28
years to the fire service, serving the communities of
St. Charles, Lincolnwood, McHenry and Richmond,
with his highest rank achieved being Lieutenant at both Lincolnwood Fire Department and McHenry Township Fire Protection District.

The Richmond Township Fire Protection District extends its deepest
condolences to Jim’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.
