That’s a wrap for now

While we didn’t pull off the upset it's okay. I truly mean that. I originally set out to start a real conversation about the future of Lincolnton, and I think the ball has started rolling.

This journey has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I had the opportunity to meet new people, have meaningful conversations, and gain a deeper perspective on our city than I ever had before. For that alone, I’m grateful.

One of my favorite parts? Watching my daughters light up throughout this process, especially when they would look for my signs around town like it was a scavenger hunt. Seeing this through their eyes reminded me why I stepped up in the first place.

To everyone who supported me, voted for me, prayed for me, or encouraged me — thank you. Your belief in me means more than you know. You always hope people notice your sacrifice, and I got to see first hand it hasn't gone unnoticed.

For some people, I know you hope this sends me off to never be heard from again. Unfortunately for y'all, this isn’t the end of my involvement — not even close.

Next week, you’ll find me back at Highland Park on the soccer fields coaching both of my daughters’ teams. March 28th, I’ll be hosting the 20th Anniversary Price Is Right fundraiser for the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center.

Titles don’t determine service. Commitment does.

I’ll continue to show up. I’ll continue to serve. And I’ll continue to be a voice for this community I love.

Even on Primary Election Day, some commitments are simply bigger than politics.

Today, I felt it was important to show up in support of the Lincoln County Child Advocacy Center as they made their request to the Lincolnton Tourism Development Association for their 20th Anniversary Price Is Right fundraiser — an event I’m honored to host again this year.

For two decades, the Child Advocacy Center has walked alongside children and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Their work is quiet, compassionate, and absolutely essential to our community.

Supporting them isn’t political — it’s personal.

I’m proud to stand with organizations that protect and advocate for our children, and I’m grateful to help celebrate 20 years of impact through this special event.

It’s Friday — time to get out and vote, Lincolnton! 🗳️

Polls are open today from 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Board of Elections (behind McDonald’s in Boger City at 451 Same Church Road).

If you find yourself playing golf at the Lincoln Country Club, be on the lookout for a Mason for Mayor sign on Hole 11. 👀⛳

I want to give a heartfelt thank you to Erica Batounis and John Batounis for their support. They generously give back to multiple organizations and stay actively involved as parents with the PTO at S. Ray Lowder Elementary. They are true stewards of this community by leading in business, serving in schools, and investing in the next generation.

They both work at Active Concepta, which is one of the premier industries in our area and a past Industry of the Year recipient, they help make Lincolnton stronger every day.
