Our final post highlighting the 2026 season is dedicated to our first-ever Spirit of the Games Award recipient, Dot Swart. Dot has been a participant for all 10 years of our games and showcases just what these games are about. Her positive attitude and determination are inspiring to everyone around her. We are so grateful to have her as a leader of our games, congratulations Dot!

We wrapped up our 10th anniversary season with an amazing Closing Celebration! This year's talent was the best yet with 21 acts! Congratulations to all our winners, and we can't wait to see our Best in Show, Ron Atchley, represent Lincoln County at the State competition this fall!

Thank you to Sports Page for the delicious food, and Lincoln County Parks and Recreation and Lincoln County Senior Services staff for help with this event!

Lincoln County Senior Services is throwing a party to celebrate America's 250 on Friday July 17th at 11am. We will have hamburgers, hot dogs, crafts, patriotic games and more!

Our first year of Spades!!! We had a great time and learned a lot for next year. Thanks to Rebecca and Cody with Lincoln County Parks and Recreation and Lincoln County Senior Services for hosting our tournament! ♠️🃏

Thank you to Lincoln Country Club for hosing our Golf tournament! Another snake scare, but it was still a great time! And we enjoyed having Greater Gaston Senior Games participate with us!

🚲Cycling is held every year at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where we compete with around 10 other senior games from all over NC. Lincoln County was well represented by participants Jason Stewart, Dwight Stewart, and Mike Johnson! 💪

✨ Jason Stewart posted the FASTEST time in the 1 Mile race of ALL participants across all age groups! 💨 He also posted the fast time in his age group for all three races (1 Mile, 5K, and 10K) and got 2nd of the whole field in 5K and 10K.

✨ Dwight Stewart won 🥇in his age group in the 10K and 🥈🥈in the 1 Mile and 5K.

✨ Mike Johnson won 🥉in his age group for all three races (1 Mile, 5K, and 10K).

Congrats to our cyclists and we hope to see you at States!
