National Police Week 2026: Respect. Honor. Remember. 💙🚓

This week, we join the nation in honoring the bravery and sacrifice of those who wear the badge. Since 1786, more than 24,000 U.S. officers have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

We are proud to serve this community each and every day. This is a special time for us to reflect on the purpose behind the badge: to protect, to serve, and to honor the legacy of our fallen heroes

Contrary to popular belief, we do eat more than donuts🍩... but these snacks are disappearing just as fast. We appreciate the support and will have a hard time sharing with the other shifts!

A huge THANK YOU to Rosalee, our Little Miss North Carolina Beautiful Belle! She recently stopped by with a generous donation of stuffed animals for our officers to keep in their patrol cars. These toys are vital tools that help us comfort children during traumatic situations, easing their anxiety and helping us build a bond of trust when they need it most. Thank you, Rosalee, for your kind heart!

Hoops with Heroes Recap: LPD Takes the W against LFD!
🏀🚔💪

What an incredible turnout for our first "Hoops with Heroes" charity game! The Lincolnton Police Department walked away with the win against Lincolnton Fire Department🏆, but the real highlight was seeing our community come together. We’ve officially consulted the Book of Playground Law📘and it clearly states winning the first one means we are now🥇the FOREVER CHAMPIONS. We don't make the rules, we just enforce them!

Thanks to your generosity, United Way raised just under $3,000 to help local families thrive. Whether you played, cheered, or donated, you made this event a success. We're proud to serve this city—on and off the court! 🚔🚒

Lincolnton Police Department’s K9 Mylo to get donation of body
armor!

Lincolnton Police Department, NC - K9 Mylo will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Mylo’s vest was sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and will be embroidered with the sentiment “Honoring those who served and sacrificed”. Delivery is expected within ten weeks.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., established in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States. This potentially lifesaving body armor for four-legged K9 officers is U.S. made, custom fitted, and National Institute of Justice (NIJ) certified. Since its inception, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided over 6,397 vests valued at $6.9 million to K9s in all 50 states, made possible by both private and corporate donations.

The program is open to U.S. dogs at least 20 months old, actively employed, and certified with law enforcement or related agencies. K9s with expired vests are also eligible to participate. There are an estimated 30,000 law enforcement K9s throughout the United States.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. accepts tax-deductible contributions in any amount, while a single donation of $1,050 will sponsor one vest. Each vest has a value of $1800.00, weighs an average of 4-5 lbs., and comes with a five-year warranty. For more information, or to learn about volunteer opportunities, please call (508) 824-6978.
