Volume Up!

This sweet girl is Brie - she's a 1.5 year old pitbull mix who craves attention. She's spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on vaccines and preventions.

She loves: people, cuddling, car rides, snacks, and playing in water
Before entering the shelter, she was attacked by another dog and would benefit from a dog-friendly companion to help build her confidence back up.

Her adoption fee is only $40 and you can meet her any day between 10:00am and 4:30pm except Sunday.

🐾 Meet Emory! 🐾

Emory is a 9-month-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix who was surrendered to Lincoln County Animal Services on 3/31/26.

When Emory first arrived, she was very nervous and unsure in the shelter environment. With time, patience, and lots of love from staff, she has truly come out of her shell. 💕

Now Emory greets people with tail wags, body wiggles, and a playful personality. She loves attention, enjoys treats, and has done great meeting new people and spending time with staff. She’s also made great progress with leashing and walking outside.

Staff describe Emory as sweet, loving, playful, and eager for affection. Once she feels comfortable, her fun personality really shines through. 🐶

Emory has made some doggy friends at the shelter, though meet-and-greets with any potential housemates are always recommended prior to fostering/adopting.

She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date on monthly preventatives.

Emory is ready to find a patient, loving family to continue building her confidence and show her what a forever home feels like. 🏡

Interested in meeting Emory? Visit her at the shelter or contact us for more information!

🐾 Meet Tank! 🐾

Tank is a 5-year-old Great Pyrenees/Akita mix who was surrendered to Lincoln County Animal Services on 5/6/26.

Tank is a sweet, gentle boy who loves attention, walks, and playing fetch. He walks well on a leash, enjoys being around people, and has been doing great with staff here at the shelter.

One of our favorite things about Tank is that he will wrap his tail around your arm like he’s holding your hand. ❤️

Tank can be a little shy with handling around his head, but he continues to warm up more every day. He has also done well walking past other dogs in their kennels. Meet-and-greets with any potential housemates are always recommended prior to fostering/adopting.

He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and up-to-date on monthly preventatives.

Tank is looking for a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and loved. 🏡

Interested in meeting Tank? Visit him at the shelter or contact us for more information!

Meet BLANCO 🤍
Adoption Fee: $20
Neutered/Microchipped/Current on vaccines
Blanco is a sweet 2-year-old neutered male who’s looking for a calm, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace. Our veterinary team believes Blanco may be deaf, which is actually fairly common in white cats. Because he may not hear people approaching, he can sometimes become overstimulated when being petted or handled unexpectedly. For that reason, he would do best with someone comfortable reading cat body language and using gentle, patient handling.
Blanco also has a unique look to match his unique personality — his adorable little ears are shorter because he previously had surgery to remove suspected sun-related skin cancer, something white outdoor cats can be especially prone to. After all he’s been through, Blanco has officially decided the indoor life is the life for him: cozy naps, soft blankets, and staying out of the sun forever. ☀️➡️🏡
Once he feels safe and understood, Blanco has so much love to give. He just needs a compassionate person willing to give him the time and patience he deserves.

Blanco is waiting for you! We are open for adoptions from 10:00 until 4:30 every day except Sunday. 🐾

Introducing a new LCAS holiday... it's ***kSaturday! 🐾

S***k has been in our care for 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣ days, and it is time for him to take the next step in his journey... a new family!

This happy pups personality is larger than life, so we felt it was fitting to give him his own day of the week to celebrate. S***k is 3 years old, and he is a big teddy bear weighing in at nearly 70 pounds!

S***k absolutely adores children, and he has loved every single dog that he has met so far! He loves to pounce around and play with toys, but will quickly settle in for a cuddle on your couch.

S***k is already neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and current on preventatives. He is heartworm positive, but don't let that scare you. Helping Animals To Survive - HATS will cover a portion of his treatment! All you need to do is help him rest and recover!

S***k and his best friend, Pebbles, will be at the PetSmart in Lincolnton until 3:30 pm today. Stop by and say hello to your new family member 😍
