Dear Parents, Guardians, and Lincoln County Community,

On Friday, September 4th, Lincoln County Schools will conduct a routine intruder safety drill in accordance with the Georgia Safe Schools Act.

Our goal is to train students and staff to respond calmly, confidentially, and effectively. School staff will guide students through the process in an age-appropriate and supportive manner.

Neighbors and community members may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles or law enforcement personnel near our campuses during the drill. Please be assured that this is a planned, controlled exercise and there is no active threat or emergency.

UPDATE FOR FAMILIES:

Regarding the threat reported late last night involving a Lincoln County High School student, law enforcement has taken the student into custody.

We are continuing to maintain additional security measures across all campuses today. Extra police officers remain on site, monitoring entrances and patrolling throughout the day.

Dear Lincoln County School System Families,

Late yesterday evening, school administration was alerted to a social media threat involving a Lincoln County High School student. School administration notified local law enforcement immediately, and the investigation remains active.

As a precaution, additional law enforcement officers will be on campus, monitoring entrances, and patrolling the campus throughout the day.

We take every threat seriously and remain in direct communication with law enforcement.

Thank you to everyone who completed their Online Registration (OLR) in Infinite Campus this summer.- What's next?... THE BIG REVEAL!

Starting on July 22nd, all three Lincoln County schools will "open up" in Infinite Campus. This is the day you can see schedules and homerooms!

What will you see when you log in?
🍎 Elementary School : You’ll be able to see who your Homeroom Teacher will be for the 2026-2027 school year.
🏫 Middle School : You’ll be able to see your complete daily class schedule.
🎓 High School : Your full class schedule will also be viewable.
💌 EXTRA EXCITING NEWS for Elementary Families! The Homeroom Teacher postcards were mailed TODAY, and more will go out tomorrow! Be on the lookout for a special note arriving in your mailbox soon!

IMPORTANT GRADUATION UPDATE

After several hours of closely monitoring the approaching inclement weather conditions, the decision has been made to hold the Lincoln County High School Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony inside the LCMHS Gymnasium tonight.

Forecasted thunderstorms and the potential for lightning created safety concerns for our graduates, families, staff, and guests. The safety of everyone in attendance has remained our top priority throughout this decision-making process.

Graduation will still begin at 8:00 PM as scheduled. Graduating seniors should report to the auditorium at 6:45 PM.

There will be no ticket restrictions for attendance. We appreciate everyone’s understanding, flexibility, and support as we work to provide a safe and memorable celebration for the Class of 2026.

Congratulations to our graduates, and we look forward to celebrating this special occasion together tonight.
