Day eight/ nine:

After a long day of travelling on Saturday, the Interact club finally returned home early this morning!

The Interact club is so grateful for the opportunity to partner and form relationships with so many people in Belize to complete our various projects. We’d like to extend a huge “THANK YOU” to our local rotary club, community, and families for supporting our efforts- this trip would not be possible without you!

If you’re looking to continue supporting Interact and our work, keep an eye on our page- we have a few more fundraisers coming up this spring!

A week ago on Friday Night, Saturday morning the Interact Club left Lincoln NH at Midnight and headed to Belize for Volunteer work; 8 high school students and three advisors. The planning, fundraising and preparation work started over a year ago. Over 400 pounds of supplies were in checked bags and we made our way to Logan airport in a snow storm.

We spent the week in Belize working with local groups and enjoying the culture. Before we headed home this past Saturday we had completed the following; an addition to a building in Calla Creek, paid for and started a Kitchen area in Calla Creek School, painted all their picnic tables and eating pavilion and built them a new table.

The Interact Club Paid for a majority of a new steel eating pavilion at the RC school in San Jose Succotz, built three new picnic tables for the pavilion, built a shed roof frame for the kitchen area and planted trees. We distributed Dental Hygiene supplies, Provided tools and supplies for future work at the Mopan School and provided books for a local Elementary school. All this in one week...
A trip to be proud of....
