Family Fun Activity in Beatrice June 27-28...
Travel through more than 200 years of history and enjoy hands-on family fun during Homestead Days.
Visitors can explore our Junior Ranger Timeline Activity, which begins with the American Revolution and continues through the homesteading era and into the late 1900s. Each stop along the timeline features activities, demonstrations, and stories that highlight how Americans worked, learned, traveled, communicated, and built communities across generations.
The timeline concludes in the 1980s, when agritourism and growing interest in rural heritage helped spark a renewed appreciation for homesteading and farm life. Families will be able to visit the Mini Barnyard Friends Petting Zoo, featuring animals such as a mini horse, mini donkey, mini cow, goats, sheep, mini pig, chickens, ducks, and rabbits. The petting zoo offers visitors of all ages a chance to meet farm animals up close and learn more about the connections between agriculture, animals, and agritourism.
Together, these activities help tell the American story, from the nation's founding through the homesteading era and beyond, while highlighting the connections between people, agriculture, and community.
Join us June 27-28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and discover history through hands-on experiences for all ages.
