Office of Inspector General of the Nebraska Correctional System

Office of Inspector General of the Nebraska Correctional System The Office was created in 2015 by the Legislature in order to provide for continued oversight of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.

The Office was established by the passage of Legislative Bill 598 during the 2015 legislative session. It was based on a recommendation of the Department of Correctional Services Special Investigative Committee which was established by the adoption of Legislative Resolution 424 during the 2014 legislative session.
