Grades 2-5 at 10.15-11.30am
BEGINNER Chess K-1st grade:
Beginner chess lessons make learning fun through games, stories, and hands-on play—no experience needed. Children learn the rules, piece movement, and simple strategies while building focus and problem-solving skills. Classes encourage patience, confidence, and creative thinking in a supportive group setting.
Emphasis is on good sportsmanship, helping kids learn to win kindly and grow from every game. All students who give their best effort will receive a chess medal. Chess Tournaments will also be offered, but participation is optional.
INTERMEDIATE Chess Grade 2-5 :
Designed for young players ready to level up, these lessons build on basic chess knowledge with deeper strategy and guided practice. Children learn tactics, planning ahead, and smart decision-making through interactive games and challenges.
Classes strengthen critical thinking, focus, and confidence both on and off the board. Emphasis is on good sportsmanship, respectful competition, and learning from every game. All students who give their best effort will receive a chess medal. Chess Tournaments will also be offered, but participation is optional.
