Applications for the Jesusita and Santos Courage and Fortitude Fund are now open! We are excited to announce that thanks to the generous partnership with Jane Shanahan we will be offering 10 scholarships each in the amount of $1,000!

Connecting and learning at the Latino Summit!

Mark Hugo Lopez, Director of Race and Ethnicity Research at Pew Research Center, shared that Latinos represent 14% of Nebraska’s population.

His advice for students pursuing higher education: stay persistent and seek support.

“There are many opportunities at universities to be able to get the skills that you need to be successful in any program.”

Generation Diamond is asking the community for help with a specific need this week.

Our participants need adult T-shirts. 👕

Men's and women's sizes, gently used and clean, in whatever sizes you have on hand. A clean shirt goes further than people expect. It's often what someone wears to a job interview, or to a first shift at a new job.

Shirts can be dropped off at our office at 4829 S. 25th Street, Suite 100, Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 📍

Get ready, student registrations for the 2026 Nebraska Latino Youth Summit are opening soon!

This year's NELYS is shaping up to be one of our most exciting yet. With the theme Young Voices, Big Impact, students will experience a day filled with leadership development, STEM exploration, and opportunities to connect with peers and professionals from across Nebraska.

This years summit will feature Dr. Fernanda Sulantay as our keynote speaker. A chemical engineer and computational scientist at Yale University, founder of InspiraSTEM, and passionate advocate for STEM education, Dr. Sulantay has inspired countless students to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Her story and message are sure to leave a lasting impact on each and every student in attendance.

Make sure you are following our social media channels and staying tuned. Registration opens soon, and you won't want to miss your chance to join us in Kearney on Tuesday, November 10, for Nebraska's largest educational event for Latino youth.
