URGENT- CURE BALLOTS
We need your help right now to ensure Democrats are not locked out of the CD-6 General election in November. The combination of MAGA Congressman Kevin Kiley (CD-3) running as a No Party Preference candidate, a Republican candidate and a plethora of Democrats vying to capture this seat has put us at risk of not having a Democrat on the ballot. Kiley is currently the top vote-getter with the Republican in second-place. Democratic candidate Dr. Richard Pan, who served in the CA State Legislature from 2010-2022, is in third place. There are enough ballots not yet counted that could tip the race for Dr. Pan. The district includes parts of Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo Counties.
CADEM is working with Dr. Pan's campaign and the DCCC to conduct a 'ballot curing' operation. This entails contacting Democratic voters whose ballots the county recorder rejected (due to signature mismatch, etc.) and have them correct those ballotVolunteers are needed to alert these voters about their ballot rejections and explain how to correct the issue. In addition to phone calls, a visit to voters' houses may be required. All of this will be explained and training provided Saturday, June 6th, 2 pm at the Placer County Democratic Headquarters, 448 Lincoln Blvd.
