Lincoln, you showed up in a big way this month! Thank you! 🧡

As food costs and demand for services continue to rise, your generosity (over $331,000 before matching funds!) on ensures the needs of neighbors experiencing hunger and homelessness are met with compassion, dignity, and care. We are overwhelmed and grateful for your partnership and belief in this work.

Thank you for showing up for people in our community you may never meet, at moments you may never see, in ways that truly change lives.

Additional shout out to the Lincoln Community Foundation and their generous sponsors for powering such an incredible day for our community. 🧡

🏈 From 1:00–1:30 PM, UNL Athletic Director Troy Dannen will help us kick off our time with The Ticket (see what we did there? 😉).

And from 1:00–2:00 PM, we're challenging our community to help raise $5,000—and thanks to Prairie Wealth Advisors, Inc., every dollar donated during that hour will be matched dollar for dollar!

Additionally, donors from 3:30-4:30pm will be entered for a chance to win two club section, lower level tickets to a home Husker basketball game or jerseys signed by Grant Wistrom and Jerry Tagge!

“It’s a safe place. I’m able to be myself. To let my guard down. I’m able to laugh. To cry. It’s family, without the last names.”

Vinnie says it better than we can. The two daily meals are important, but this place means so much more to our guests. Your gift for Give to Lincoln Day fuels this mission and strengthens our community. 🧡

Donations made through the end of today will count towards a proportional share of the Give to Lincoln Day match fund, making your gift go even further!

Watch Mellisa share how she and her son went from living in a camper to finding stability, safety, and hope.

Your donation makes stories like this possible. And right now, it goes even further thanks to the match fund.

One gift can change a life. Give now through Thursday.

Reducing hunger AND food waste = a win for our community 🧡

Thanks to the Shared Table program, our friends at Chick-fil-A SouthPointe Pavilions and Chick-fil-A NorthStar Crossing donate surplus food to help feed our guests and stock our pantry.

Five days a week, we pick up cooked chicken, biscuits, salads, mac & cheese, and more — turning quality food into nourishing meals for our community instead of letting it go to waste.

Kevin reached a point where alcohol mattered more than paying bills. Eventually, he became homeless — sleeping in the park and even outside our front door a time or two.

At first he came to Matt Talbot for food, a shower, and a place to rest during the day. But when he was ready to change his life, we were there.

"Because of Matt Talbot, I found stable housing, support from people who understood what I was going through, and the chance to rebuild my life. I also got health care I never would have had on my own, including heart surgery that saved my life."

Your donation matters. And through May 28, it goes even further thanks to the Give to Lincoln Day match fund.

Donate today to help more individuals like Kevin rebuild their lives. 🧡
