What does a typical day look like in your role?
"Every day is different, but most days involve meeting with individuals and families, listening to their needs, connecting them with resources, and helping them take the next steps toward stability. Sometimes I simply spend time listening and being present with someone who needs to be heard. I especially enjoy when families come back to share how things have been going since we last spoke and to celebrate the progress they have made."
What is your favorite part of your job?
"My favorite part is building relationships with people and being able to tell someone, โWe are going to figure this out,โ during a difficult time in their life."
Share a memorable moment you've experienced while working here?
"One of my most recent memorable moments was sitting down and playing cards with an individual we helped secure housing for. Seeing how well he is doing and sharing that simple moment of connection filled me with joy. It was a reminder that our work is about more than meeting immediate needs, it is about building and celebrating relationships."
What does HOPE in the Good Life mean to you?
"To me, HOPE in the Good Life means helping people see that their current situation does not define their future. It means knowing there is a community here that will walk alongside them, support them, and encourage them as they work toward a more stable and fulfilling life. Hope is believing that change is possible and that no one has to face life's challenges alone."
