Good Neighbor Community Center is accepting applications for the position/volunteer of Logistics & Nutritional Outreach Director.
GNCC serves low-income families, refugees, and immigrants, along with other neighbors in need throughout Lincoln. We are looking for a dependable, organized, mission-driven person who can help manage food, supplies, donations, vehicles, volunteers, and pantry operations safely and efficiently.
As demand for GNCC services has risen, GNCC has outgrown its current 26th and Y Street building. When the new CCL building opens next year, GNCC will expand into a 7,468-square-foot suite. This role is expected to help prepare for the transition and then serve as the lead staff person for day-to-day operations of GNCCโs suite, including food distribution, nutritional outreach, logistics, volunteers, and inventory.

โข Coordinate food program operations, including perishable and non-perishable distribution.
โข Pick up donations from donors and partner organizations, including loading and unloading.
โข Monitor inventory, stock rotation, storage practices, and product movement.
โข Operate GNCC vehicles, including vans or food trucks, safely and responsibly.
โข Maintain pantry, delivery, vehicle, inventory, and food program records.
โข Work professionally with clients, volunteers, donors, vendors, staff, and community partners.
โข Support food drives, outreach programs, and community-based service activities.
โข Follow food-handling, storage, safety, and distribution practices.

โข High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelorโs degree preferred.
โข Experience in logistics, operations, food distribution, inventory, transportation, nonprofit program work, or related fields preferred.
โข Valid driverโs license and clean driving record required for vehicle operation.
โข Strong communication, organization, confidentiality, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
โข Compassion, reliability, sound judgment, and commitment to GNCCโs mission and the communities served.
โข A CDL is not required to drive the GNCC food truck.

This position includes frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, sorting, lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, stocking, and moving food boxes, donations, and supplies. The role may include driving, entering and exiting vehicles, and working indoors and outdoors during pickups and deliveries.
