Nebraska 4-H youth are making an impact on the national stage.

This year, Nebraska made history with two members serving on the National 4-H Conference leadership team. Preston Beattie of Sumner and Libby Macklin of Blue Hill helped guide delegates from across the country as they worked alongside federal agencies to develop solutions to real-world challenges facing agriculture and rural communities.

Their leadership highlights the opportunities 4-H provides to build confidence, strengthen communication skills and prepare the next generation of leaders.

Nebraskans helping Nebraskans.

Gov. Jim Pillen, in partnership with NDOT and the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, is launching the Nebraska Wildfire Hay Recovery Program as part of ongoing efforts to support ranchers impacted by historic wildfires. The program allows hay harvested from eligible state highway rights-of-way to be donated to ranchers and help them continue operations.
