Downtown Revitalization!!

There is a new project underway in Livingston County called TRANSFORMATION STRATEGY and Lima is part of it!

The Grow LivCo Downtown Transformation Strategy uses the Main Street America model to create customized, 3–5-year work plans for each village's downtown district. These plans provide a focused, market-driven path to economic revitalization and identify key opportunities for each downtown in today's economic environment.

We encourage all Town and Village of Lima residents to participate in this project.

We’ve tried for a more convenient time but because of the consultants schedule, they will be coming to Lima on August 25 from 1-4pm and in the week of Sept. 14. (Exact date and time will be announced later). We encourage all Lima residents to attend the community forum at 3pm on Sept 25 at the Town Hall.

The Lima Community Connections meeting will take place tomorrow, Saturday 8/8, at 10am in the Town Hall! All community members are welcome, please come and share your ideas and discuss plans on how we can enhance the Town of Lima!

If you are attending the Crossroads Festival this weekend we do have 4 new EV charging stations at the Lima library for your charging needs.

Did you know that if you have an alarm system in your home it must be registered with Livingston County Sheriff Office? A resident reached out to the town asking us to share this information.

If not, in this person's case, and you have a false alarm and the LCSO shows up you can be sent a bill for $50. If your system is registered then you get one free false alarm annually.

Today, our community comes together to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer—it is a time to pause, reflect, and honor those whose sacrifice made our freedoms possible.

In a small town like Lima, we understand the importance of community, service, and looking out for one another. These values were exemplified by those who answered the call to serve and never returned home. Their sacrifice reminds us that the freedoms we enjoy and the community we cherish were secured through extraordinary courage and selflessness.

As neighbors gather today at ceremonies, parades, family cookouts, and around kitchen tables, let us take a moment to remember the fallen, honor their families, and reflect on the responsibility we all share to build a stronger, more united community worthy of their sacrifice.

From all of us at the Town of Lima, we wish everyone a meaningful Memorial Day and extend our deepest gratitude to those who gave everything for our nation.
