CASA of Allen & Putnam Counties, Ohio CASA of Allen & Putnam Counties, Ohio is a program of Crime Victim Services, Inc. CASA volunteers are a powerful voice for children.

CASA is a national program dedicated to providing quality court advocacy services to abused and neglected children under the jurisdiction of the Dependency Court. The mission of CASA is simple – “to support and promote court-appointed volunteer advocacy for abused and neglected children so that they can thrive in safe, permanent homes.”

CASA makes a difference in the life of a child. In an overburdened child welfare system, the unique one-on-one relationship that forms between the CASA volunteer and dependent child is often the most stable, positive relationship the child has. They make recommendations to the court that are in the child’s best interest and advise the court about what the child needs and wants, while providing the emotional support, stability and caring that every child deserves.

Children affected by a parent’s substance use may carry feelings that are hard to understand or talk about.

Connected & Courageous is a FREE six-week workshop from Mission of Hope for children in grades 2–6 and a trusted adult. The group will use fun and interactive activities to help children express emotions in healthy ways, manage stress, build resilience, improve communication, and understand they are not alone.

DID YOU KNOW? Our DONATION STATION has served Lima/Allen County for many many years it helps folks clean out their unwanted bikes. We take them and repurpose the ones that have value or life left to them. Those will go up for sale (only for the cost of the repairs done to them.) OR given tho those in need.
Any other misfits are disassembled, recycled in every way possible and any parts that are still good go to our boneyard and are sold for little to nothing(only to help offset the labor costs to do the work) or donated to those in need.

Our food distribution is tomorrow, Saturday, August 15! We will be there rain or shine starting at 8:30 am and distributing until all the food is gone. Volunteers, please arrive at 7 am. Please let us know if you have any questions!
