A statewide human trafficking operation conducted last week by more than 100 law enforcement agencies resulted in the arrest of 135 people

The Super Bowl (and other major sporting events) can be a hot spot for human trafficking. Where there are more people, there are more opportunities for crime, including HT, to occur. No matter if it is at the Super Bowl or right here in northwest Ohio, encouraging people to be vigilant and to say something if they see something are the first steps to ending the demand.

Be vigilant about the youth in your life and their social media use. Increasingly, social media apps have become a tool for traffickers to target vulnerable populations. Teen girls are the most targeted demographic for s*x traffickers.
